It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Henry Berry Jr. of Stokesdale, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Henry and Minnie Reid Berry; his wife Margaret Pearman Berry; and his siblings, Harvey, Earl Berry, Nina Lee Puckett, Minnie Pegram and Ruth Sherron.
He is survived by: his children, Melisa Berry Hanks (Sam Petteway) and David Berry (Susan); his grandchildren, Michelle Hilton (Mylon), Abby Duran, Drew Hanks (Shana) and Maggie Hanks (Wil Bolin); and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Hilton, Mason Hilton, Braxton Strickland, Rozalynn Strickland and Murry Hanks.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Stokesdale United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 38, Stokesdale NC 27357.
