It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Goins Southard (Stokesdale, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Saunders Goins and Ellen Johnson Goins; and her daughter Theresa Jean Southard (Sharon) of Franklinton. She is survived by: her husband Pinkney E. Southard; her daughter Tammy S. Dunlap (Kenny) of Greensboro; and her grandchildren, Billy Schonewitz, Christopher Southard (Emilie), Brittany Garner (Christopher), Alexandra Coltrane (Stephen) and Samantha Plutro (Joey). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
