It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Reid Joyce Jr. (Stokesdale, North Carolina), who passed away on June 28, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Reid Joyce, Sr. and Georgia Welch Joyce; his wife Artensie Haynes Joyce; his son Van Joyce; and his siblings, Calvin Joyce and Betty Hutcherson.

He is survived by: his sons, Donald Joyce (Diane) and Tony Joyce (Cindy); his grandchildren, Carson Morphies (Cory) and Erin Vaden (Austin); his siblings, Richard Joyce (Janice), John Joyce (Diane), Jo Anne Rumley and Judy Grubb; his sister-in-law Dean Joyce; and his close friend Colleen Knight. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
