He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Paul Garris and Betty Groce Garris; and his stepdaughter Della Golden. He is survived by: his wife Ann Morton Royster; his son Brad Garris (Lori) of Kernersville; his stepdaughter Reina Star Lawson of Greensboro; his siblings, Ronnie Garris of Archdale, Steve Garris of Stokesdale and Libby Stanley of Summerfield; his grandchildren, Alexandra Golden, Thomas Golden, Landry Garris, Alyssa Edison and Tyler Edison; and his great grandchildren, Lawson Golden, Jason Golden, Stella Golden, Paw and Gemma Hoffman.
