He is survived by: his wife Mazie Pruitt Matthews; his children, Randall Matthews (Susan) and Darlene Pegram (James); his grandchildren, Nathan (Katie), Adam (Zoided), Rachel (Ben), Grant (Elizabeth), Derek (Hannah), Grace and Hannah; and his sisters, Mary Pauline Bennett and Judy Ann Garmon (Larry).
