He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Cunningham of Cheektowaga, NY and Martha Cunningham; his wife Shirley McDowell; his sons, Damon McDowell, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Shemorron Turner of Katy, TX and Darren Turner of High Point, NC; his granddaughters, Deja Turner of Killeen, TX, Shamarria and D'Aundria Turner of High Point, NC; his siblings, Carol Rainey, Emily Jernison of Buffalo, NY, Janie Santiago of Cheektowaga, NY, Miles McDowell of Buffalo, NY and Keith McDowell (Andrea) of Tampa, FL; his mother-in-law Mable Turner of High Point, NC; and his close friends, Shafer Gilliam of Raleigh, NC and Robert Bobb of Buffalo, NY.
