He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Thomas McGraw and Mildred Cook McGraw; and his sister Kay Melton. He is survived by: his children, Pamela A. Summer of Oak Ridge, NC and Brian McGraw (Amy) of Pleasant Garden, NC; his granddaughter Peyton McGraw; his close friend Marty Coleman; and his siblings, JoAnn Middleton (Bobby), Faye Troxler (Buddy), Ann Favre, Carol Manning (Bob), James McGraw (Ann), Gene Brantley (Sophie) and Jim Melton (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or Wounded Warrior Project.
