We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2023, at the age of 93, Betty Simpson Shelton of Stokesdale, North Carolina, born in Greensboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearlie Parker Simpson and Addie Carruthers Simpson; her husband Powell Shelton, Sr.; and her siblings, Bill Simpson, Frances Best and Peggy Harper.
She is survived by: her children, Powell Shelton, Jr. (Susan) of Stokesdale, Ron Shelton (Debbie) of Oak Ridge, Patsy Peacock (Pat) of Ft. Mill, S. C. and Sandra Hewett (Jim) of Tabor City, N. C; and her brother Bob Simpson of Stokesdale. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
