Joseph Lawrence Johnson Jr. Obituary

Joseph "Joey" Lawrence Johnson, II, age 21, from Stem, NC, died on Friday, October 6, 2023. Joey was born in Durham, North Carolina on August 30, 2002, to his mother, Cynthia Goss Jackson and raised by her and his father, Darrell Wayne Jackson.

Joey was a young man full of life. He loved meeting people. He worked for Rino's as a server. Even though his life was taken away to soon, he touched so many souls.

Joey is survived by his mother, Cynthia Jackson and father, Darrell; his brothers, Daniel Jackson and Daylon Jackson and his special "sister", Laurell Jackson (Dale). His grandparents will deeply miss him, Carolyn and Leon Messer, Jane Jackson, Johnny and Sandy Goss, and Bertha Johnson. His great grandparents, Jesse Thigpen and Geraldine and Frankie Overton and an immediate family and friends too numerous to name will miss Joey.

Joey was predeceased by his sister, Angel Johnson; his niece, Neaveh; grandparents, Mick and Leora Goss, Brenda Thigpen, Edith and Jerome Averett, James Johnson, and Duane Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Please check back for the announcement.
