He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Thomas Jones, Sr. and Elsie Boyd; his wife Jean Daniel Jones; and his sisters, Ann Brassell and Ellen Wilkins.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara J. Rayborn, Eloise J. Bailey (Donnie) of Creedmoor, Cheryl J. Klinefelter (Barry) of Stem and Thomas D. Jones; and his brother Dallas Champion (Emily) of Butner. He is also survived by five granddaughters, three grandsons, and four great-grandchildren.
