She is survived by: her husband William "Billy" Lyon Whitfield; her daughter Debra Talley (Buckey) of Wilton; her granddaughters, Tina Tyler and Amanda Sanders of Creedmoor; and her brother-in-law Wayne Whitfied (Johnnie). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
