It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elvin Oakley of Stem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pender Oakley and Mittie Taylor; and his siblings, J. W. Oakley, Della Williams, Janie Oakley, Roy Oakley and Leman Oakley.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Oakley; his children, Eddie Oakley (Elizabeth), Brenda Beasley and Tammy Oakley; his grandchildren, Chad, Kevin, Amber, Darius, Blake and Brooklyn; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Ava, Trent and Jacob. He is also survived by many friends and extended family.
