With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Reuben Gene Johnson in Stedman, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Pearly Johnson and Daisy Jane Carter Johnson; his siblings, Columbus Johnson, Willie Johnson, Levie Johnson, Martha Johnson, Clara Johnson and Linda Caulder; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Tracy Wolford and Shirley T. Kiser.
He is survived by: his wife Georgie T. Johnson; his sons, Michael Gene Johnson (Tammy) and Johnny Gene Johnson (Mandie); his siblings, Reese Johnson and Virginia Mavropoulos; and his sister-in-law Ellen E. Wolford. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (401 W Roseboro St, Roseboro, NC 28382). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
