He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Elijah and Annie Mae Davis Starling; and his son Anthony Wayne Starling. He is survived by: his children, James Henry Starling, Jr. of Autryville, Doris Starling West of Autryville and Cheryl Adams (Todd) of Four Oaks; and his siblings, Bernice Russell of Stedman, Elizabeth Horne (Curwood) of Fayetteville, Linda Starling of Hillsborough and Roger Starling of Fayetteville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
