He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Spell and Euphie Spell; and his brother Nixon Spell. He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Spell Parker (Stephen Parker) of Clinton and Regina Spell Eason (Johnny Eason) of Stedman; his grandchildren, Stephanie Parker Shannon of Clinton, Rebecca Parker Maccioli (Remy Maccioli) of Durham, Reece Lane Eason and Peyton Leigh Eason of Stedman; his great grandchild Charles Parker Shannon; and his siblings-in-law, Mitchell Faircloth (Sarah Faircloth) and Lisa Faircloth Crunkleton (Richard Crunkleton).
