We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 91, Willard Dale Blackwelder (Statesville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Blackwelder and Johnsie Blackwelder. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Blackwelder; his sons, Dale (Sherry), Wayne (DeeDee), Walter (Jill) and Kent (Cindy); his grandchildren, Amy Burquie (P. J.), Lee Blackwelder (Kara), Karen Merchant (Shelby), J. W. Blackwelder (Anna), Beau Blackwelder (Laura), Anna-Lisa Goodman (Tyler), Kendal Gulledge (Matt), Ethan Blackwelder, Mya Blackwelder and Adam Blackwelder (Adrianne); and his brothers, Edwin, Jim and Ronald. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rose Chapel UMC, 813 Turnersburg Highway, Statesville, N.C. 28625, or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, N.C. 28625.
