She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Nathaniel Mayhew and Lula Bell Lowe Mayhew; her spouse Lynn Carter Nichols; her siblings, Joseph Mayhew Jr., Johnny Marshall Mayhew, Clara Faulkner and Alice Mayhew Brandon; and her daughter-in-law Margaret Nichols.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Nichols (Linda) of Statesville, N. C. and Jeffery Dean Nichols of Statesville, N. C.; her grandchildren, Gary Nichols Jr. and Montrel Nichols; and her great grandchildren, Myriah Nichols, Shiyal Nichols and Trail Nichols. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
