He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Porter and Tessie Thornsbury Porter; and his siblings, Juanita Trent, Barbara Shupe, Ella Mae Lester, Charles Porter, Jr., Edward Porter, Cleve Porter, Edgar Porter and Joe Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Robin; his son David Porter (Andrea); his grandchildren, Madison Soto (Geovanny) and Chase Porter; and his brothers, Doug Porter and Tim Porter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
