It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Silas David Benfield of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Pete Benfield. He is survived by: his wife Betty Benfield; his children, Jimmy Benfield (Cynthia) of Statesville, Joe Stanley Jr. of Taylorsville and Melissa Stanley of Wilmington, NC.; his sister Shirley Riddle (Ted) of Statesville; and his grandchildren, Jacob (Wendy), Sam, Phillip, Jessica (Heath) and Bethany (Ricky).
