She was predeceased by: her father Isaac Brantley, Sr.; her husband Milton Lee Mayfield, Sr.; and her siblings, L. D. Brantley, Isaac Brantley Jr., Willie Brantley, Samuel Brantley, Bertha Stanley, Ruby Mae Taylor, Daisy Bell Williams, Helen Brantley Martian and Lois Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Milton Darnell Mayfield, Rev. Shelia Mayfield Williams and Jermaine Lamont Mayfield; her grandchildren, Asia S. Dalton, Oreon Y. Mayfield, Sr. and Akeem R. Robertson; her great grandchildren, Oreon Y. Mayfield, Jr., Carmon Mayfield, Akeem R. Robertson and Ava L. Robertson; and her siblings, Nathaniel Brantley (Maudie) of Dix Hall, N. Y. and Barbara Ravenel of New York City, N. Y.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
