It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Smith Jr. of Statesville, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Smith and Ann Duckworth Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ross Smith; his children, Brian Smith (Elizabeth) and Cheryl Smith; his grandchildren, Pressley, Gracie, Lucy, Hutton, Miranda and Molly Sue Smith; and his sister Shirley S. Clarke (David).

Memorials may be made to New ARP Church Building Fund or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
