It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Arlene Griffin (Statesville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Florence Douglas Morrison; her sons, James Adrian Griffin and Ronald Lee Griffin; and her siblings, Fredrick Douglas, William Douglas and Arabella Gray.
She is survived by: her children, William Fredrick Griffin of Virginia Beach, Kenneth Craig Griffin of Statesville, Steven Odell Griffin of Winston Salem, Anthony Bernard Griffin of Statesville and Kathy Lavonne Scott of Statesville; her grandchildren, Alicia Scott, Nikia Scott, Fajoya Blackwell (Craig), James Griffin Jr., Stephen Horton and Kendris Myers; and her close friend Glendora Feimster. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends.
