He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Linnie Marsh Southard; his former wife Barbara G. Southard; and his son Scott D. Southard. He is survived by: his wife Betty D. Southard; and his children, Michael Southard (Jennifer), Joy Cox, Delynn Brown, Angela Southard (Scott D. Southard), Barbara Griffin (Roger), Peggy Plyer, Joyce Taylor, Wanda Barnette (Robert), Debbie Cauble (Paul) and Lisa Travis (John). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Gordon Hospice House for their compassionate care of Ramon, and requests memorials be made to Hospice of Iredell Co, in his honor.
