It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Louise Cauthen (Statesville, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Junior Cauthen, Sr. and Mary Finger Cauthen; her daughter Samatha Cauthen; and her siblings, John Junior Cathen, Jr., Mayola Strickland, Jerry Powell, George Cauthen, Dottie Rhinehart and Jimmy Cauthen.
She is survived by: her children, Paul John Cauthen of Statesville, Janice Belinda Cauthen of Statesville and Lori Cauthen Smyre of Statesville; and her siblings, Gary Cauthen (Pam) of Statesville, Jeanette Cauthen of Statesville and Brenda Gaither of Salisbury. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
