She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Allison and Martha McIntosh Gibbs; her husband Rev. James Chambers, Sr.; and her siblings, William McIntosh, Floyd Gibbs, Brenda Kay Gibbs and Barbara Jean Skinner.
She is survived by: her children, James Chambers, Jr. of Statesville, Guy Patrick Chambers (April) of Charlotte, Valerie Hope Chambers Bondi (Joe) and Lana Chambers Smith of Statesville; her grandchildren, Whitney Rene'Chambers, Britney Sade'Chambers, Savannah Gayle Smith, Josiah Wesley Smith, Addisyn McKinley Chambers and Guy Jackson Chambers; and her siblings, Alphonzo McIntosh, Patricia McIntosh and Linda Faye Gibbs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shiloh AME Zion Church (1115 Salisbury Rd, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
