She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Byers and Julia "Annie" Byers; her former husband Harold Loftin; and her son Scott Loftin. She is survived by: her husband Cecil Riffe; and her sons, Tommy Loftin (Brenda), Mike Loftin (Linda) and Terry Loftin. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care at 243 N Lee Ave, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
