He was predeceased by: his father Alfonso Tomlin; his daughter Alicia Tomlin; and his brother Larry Tomlin. He is survived by: his mother Cumyre Scott Tomlin; his children, Ethel Tomlin, Timothy Tomlin (Angel) of Mooresville, NC, Priscilla Hall (Kenneth) and Gloria Tomlin Miller of Salisbury, NC; his siblings, Stanley Tomlin of Troutman, NC, Vernon Tomlin (Karen) of Statesville, Tony Tomlin of Harrisburg, PA and Patricia McIntosh of Troutman, NC; his sister-in-law Robin Tomlin; and also, William Scott, Melissa Cauthen, Anika F. White and Ann White. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
