He is survived by: his children, Delisa Michelle Caldwell (Curtis Trapp) of Statesville, Nikki Nicole Caldwell (William Sherrill) of Statesville and Marvin Caldwell (Tamika Smyre) of Statesville; his sister Annie Mills of Statesville; his grandchildren, Curtis Trapp, Jr., Ciera Tutt (Sean), Alexander Trapp, Jared Murell, Terrance Murrell, Ty'keira Swift, Tey'kian Dye, Tylonda Smyre and Tyrone Dye; and his great grandchildren, Harmony Murell, Anais Trapp, Quenton Carruth, Jr., Amiya Smyre, Serenity Carruth, Te'yaila Knotts, Tay'lyn Daniels and Ty'hon Dye. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
