It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Rita Thurston of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dewey Michael Thurston; her parents, Roy Tilley and Ruth Sprinkle Tilley; and her siblings, Anford, Tinsey, Johnnie Tilley, Beatrice Shaver, Linda Gentile and Anna Mihalko.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Dowdle; her grandchildren, Ethan Dowdle (Alena) and Karlie Dowdle (Austin); her great grandchild Benjamin Dowdle; and her stepson Mack Thurston (Gloria). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
