He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mason Faires and Shirley Pennell Faires of Taylorsville. He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Daniel Faires; his sons, Just Dustin Boss (Charlotte Marie Rodriguez) of Statesville and Daniel Heckman of Salisbury; and also Bryan Gray of Missouri.
