It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynn Doris Dyson of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Dyson and Ruby Grant Dyson; his wife Dorcas Brookshire; his granddaughter Courtney Johnston; his siblings, JC Dyson, Hope D. Cromwell and Carol D. Donovan; and his son-in-law Kelvin Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald (Jeanette) of Statesville, Gigi D. Johnston (Dudley Mizell) of Deep Gap, NC and Robert (Cynthia) of Statesville; his grandchildren, Christopher Johnston (Julianna) of Jefferson, NC, Bradley Dyson of Statesville and Chelsea D. Hancock of Vass, NC.; his great grandchildren, Slavik, Miriam, Leah, Isaac, Andrew, Judah, Jubilee, David Johnston, Audrey, Sawyer, Jayce, Adeline and Gabriel Hancock; and his sister Gail Walther (Ed) of Mooresville.
