She was predeceased by: her father Allen Carpenter; and her nephew Terry W. Turner, Sr.. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Barbara Turner of Winston-Salem, Paulette Ratcliff (Johnie) of Statesville, Larry Turner (Betty), Robin Turner (Joann) of Charlotte, Kamau Waalee of Statesville and Allen Lewis Turner of Statesville; and her godson Edward Drakeford, Jr. of Pensacola. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and other special relatives and friends.
