She was predeceased by: her parents, Minnie Owens Rash and Charlie Rash; her husband Melvin Reece Johnson; her son Donald Lee Johnson; and her siblings, Lora Kurfees, Margaret Femister and Richard Rash.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Eric Johnson of Statesville and Joshua Johnson (Joni); her great grandchildren, Aidan and Dylan Johnson of Statesville; and her siblings, Fred Rash of Salisbury, NC and Mary Benge of Statesville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Fairview Baptist Church at 349 Turnersburg Hwy, Statesville, NC 28625.
