She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander James Mackenzie and Elizabeth Rees-Warton Mackenzie; and her sisters, Christina E. Paul, Madge O. Stanley and Elizabeth R. Downs.

She is survived by: her significant other Joseph Larry Miller; her sons, Kevin A. Miller (Neva) of Statesville and Stephen P. Miller of Charlotte; her granddaughter Caroline Miller Yon (Keith) of Charlotte; and her sisters, Martha Flax Troutman of Gold Hill, NC and Charlotte Catherine Wilkins of Cambridge, OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church (825 Wesley Dr, Statesville, NC 28677). A reception was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Statesville Country Club (635 Deauville Rd, Statesville, NC 28625).
