She is survived by: her son Dennis Jay Carson (Michelle) of Statesville, NC; her stepson Jesse David Brown, Jr.; and her brothers, Danny Michael (Sue) of Miller Creek, NC and Mark Michael of Statesville, NC.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time and memorials in Kay's name may be made to Hospice of Iredell County or the charity of one's choice.
