He is survived by: his children, John R. Johnson, Jr. (Tenn) of Dayton and Loretta Upright (Shannon) of Stony Point; his grandsons, Jody, Bradley and John Upright; and his sisters, Margaret Patterson, Alvina Wilcox and Joanne Navedo.
