He was predeceased by: his parent Chress Sharpe; his adoptive father Paul Carico; his son John McArthur Sharpe; and his brothers, Frank Kenneth Carico and JC Smith.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Whitworth; his children, Randy Sharpe (Cissy), Frank Sharpe (Sherry), Quentin Sharpe, Trina Dillard (Kenneth) and Patricia Lautt; his grandchildren, Makayla Brown (Paul), Francesca Martinez, Madeline Lautt, Jacelyn, Zachery Dillard and Josh King; his great grandchild Braxton King; and his sisters, Loretta Slaton, Margaret King and Teena Rupard (Don).
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to New life Community Baptist Church, 496 Jennings Road Statesville, NC 28625.
