With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Grimes of Statesville, North Carolina, born in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on May 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard F. Dittman and Elizabeth Schlenk Dittman. She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki L. Miller (Robert) and Kathy M. Harvey; her brothers, Richard Dittman (Jayne) and Roger Dittman (Joyce); her grandchildren, Makayla Maffucci, Erica Miller and Madison Harvey; and her great grandchild Aubrey Maffucci.
