He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Jones and Frances Russell (Blansett). He is survived by: his wife Shelvie Blansett of Statesville; his sons, James Robert Blansett, Jr. of Statesville and Bryan Blansett of Statesville; his grandchildren, Cody Jordan, Justin Blansett, Victoria Blansett, Laci Blansett and Cheyanne Blansett; and his great grandchildren, Austin Jordan, Autumn Jordan, Natalie Jordan, Logan McDade and Danika Poole.
