He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryne McPhaul McRacken and Robert Bernice McRacken; his brother Robert E. "Gene" McRacken; his daughter-in-law Anita C. McRacken; and his wife Sandra Fleming McRacken.
He is survived by: his siblings, Janet and William; his children, James A. McRacken, Jr. (Tina) of Denver, Mark McRacken of Mooresville and Candice McRacken Britt (Matthew) of Rutland, VT; and his grandchildren, Brianna, Andrew, Molly, Megan and Caroline. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
