We are sad to announce that on March 29, 2023, at the age of 97, Helen Mary Lewis (Statesville, North Carolina), born in Easton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Nekrosius and Josephine Nekrosius; her husband Frank Lewis; her son Frankie Lewis; and her brother William Nekrosius.
She is survived by: her children, Stan Lewis (Bonnie) and Jan Barnes (Dave); and her grandchildren, Stan Lewis, Jr., Tricia Wilson (Rick), Brian Lewis, David Barnes Jr. (Jamie), Frankie Barnes (Ashley), Jeff Barnes (Danielle) and Stacy Caldwell (Terry). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-granddaughters; and her beloved dog.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to be made to the National Down Syndrome Society, P.O. Box 4916, New York, NY 10185.
