He was predeceased by: his father Harley Threatte; and his son Brian Threatte. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Brawley Threatte; his daughters, Anita Mitchell (Leon) of Statesville, NC and Stephanie Workman (Jason) of Taylorsville, NC; his siblings, Kay Twitty and Keith Threatte; his grandchildren, Courtney Newsome (Shane), Alaina Medlin (Chase), Zack Mitchell, Nathan Workman (Jodi), Cameron Workman (Sarah) and Tiffany Hubbard; and his great grandchildren, Caelyn Newsome "Caecae", Ariel Newsome "Boogie" and Brentley Medlin "Peanut". He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
