She was predeceased by: her parents, Broadie W. Whiteside and Eva Elizabeth Steele Whiteside; her siblings, Sarah Curry, Bennie Whiteside, Broadie Whiteside and Larry Whiteside; and her siblings-in-law, James Mallory and Tommyette Whiteside.

She is survived by: her siblings, Dulcina Singletary of Bladenboro, NC, Mamie W. Mallory of Washington, DC, Eva W. Corry (James) of Statesville, NC, Robert L. Whiteside (Robin Heaggans) of Statesville, NC and Geneva W. Gray (Harvey) of Statesville, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
