He is survived by: his children, Julie Presler (Mike), Tari Pope and Jamie Pope (Julie); his stepdaughter Debra Darnell (Garland); his grandchildren, Courtney Bougher (Kevin), Frank Patton, Dr. Noah Hughes (Madelyn), Amelia Alford (Damon) and Nicholas Pope; his great grandchildren, Joshua Bougher, Kenzo Alford and Oak Hughes; his wife Katie Pope; and his adoptive mother Lisa Riddle.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Gordon Hospice House, Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County.
