He is survived by: his children, Isiah Leon Payton, Isaac Junior Lee Payton, Emery Leon Pickens Jr., Lakeia Nicole Pickens of Kannapolis, NC, Ebony Aquia Pickens Butler Jr. (Charles) of Kannapolis, NC and Juanita Pickens Jimenez of Kannapolis, NC; and his siblings, Herbert Hall Pickens Jr. (Anita) of Independence, MO, Gloria Ann Pickens McKinney of Hephzibah, GA. and Beverly Louise Pickens Allison of Flat Rock, NC.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
