She was predeceased by: her father Edmond Battle Moore; her husbands, Arthur Newkirk Jr. and Herman Gillis; her siblings, Edna Welborn, Pauline Allen, Virginia Crabtree, Bill Moore, Benton Moore, Battle Moore and Claude Moore; and her stepgrandson Joseph Konen.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Hinson (David) of Statesville, NC and Arthur Newkirk III (Lucretia) of Laurinburg, NC; her stepdaughter Tammy Konen (Jim) of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Lacey McIntyre (Justin), Ashlyn Murray, Logan Newkirk and Luciana Newkirk; her stepgrandchildren, Shawn Konen (Christy), Merica Marengo and William Konen (Leigh); and her brother Robert Moore (Kathie) of Greenwood, SC.. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
