He was predeceased by: his father Leander Wagner; and his brother Ronald Wagner. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wagner (Chamberlain); his daughter Laura Wagner-Cary; his son-in-law Matthew Cary of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Amelia Cary of Chicago, IL and Iain Wagner-Cary of Charlotte, NC; his sisters-in-law, Mary A. Weseman of Lincoln, NE and Betty L. Wagner of Seattle, WA; and his cousin Joe (Pat Ondrick). He is also survived by friends and family.
