We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 89, Dolores Wallace Phillips of Statesville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Albert Wallace and Beulah Mary Plyler Wallace; her husband Dwight Clinton Phillips Jr.; her siblings, Bryant Wallace, Joe Wallace, Robert Wallace and Mary Ruth Church; and her grandson-in-law John Cole III.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Eric Phillips, Bradley Phillips and Melody Redmond (Jerry) of Statesville; her siblings, Mike Wallace (Evelyn) of Hickory and Macie Woodside of Statesville; her sister-in-law Lina Wallace of Statesville; her grandchildren, Heather Cole and Matthew Flouton (Stacey); and her great grandchildren, John Cole IV (Erica), Emily Cole, Jordan Flouton and Travis Flouton.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (158 Stony Point School Rd, Stony Point, NC 28678). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery (128 Old Arbor Ln, Statesville, NC 28625).
