It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delane Porter of Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Floyd Lee and Jessie Irene Pharr McLelland; her husband Eddie; her children, Shane Porter (Amber) and Amanda Porter; her grandchildren, Caleb Porter and Amber Shore (Cole); her stepgranddaughter Mallorie Hemric; her great grandchild Miles Shore; and also David Childress.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Society Baptist Church, 879 Garden Valley Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
