He is survived by: his wife Fannie Mimi Tate Smyre; his children, LeBron Hall (Kisha) of Statesville, NC, Natasha DeLong (Daren) of Waldorf, MD, LaKisha Smith of Charlotte, NC and Kelli Mercurius (David) of Statesville, NC; his sisters, Teresa Davidson (Joey) of Statesville, NC and Beverly Evans of Harmony, NC; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Dalton (James) of Statesville, NC, Charles Tate of Asheville, NC, Wanda Tate of Charlotte, NC, Lisa Hopper (Maurice Sr) of Concord, NC and Rita Chipley of Statesville, NC; and his grandchildren, LeKia Hall, Hasim Hall, Alexandria Morell, Shaquez Smith, Allie Mercurius and Marlee Mercurius. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
